FineVT Robotics LAB, Pocheon City Supports Next-Generation Advanced Mobility Research

Pocheon City (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 6th that it held a seminar for the next-generation advanced mobility research promotion team at the Pocheon Business Center on the 4th and signed a business agreement (MOU) with Seoul National University’s Intelligent Unmanned Vehicle Research Center and FineVT Co., Ltd.

Through this agreement, Seoul National University’s Intelligent Unmanned Vehicle Research Center agreed to cooperate in ▲establishing a domestic commercialization base for the advanced mobility industry ▲transitioning to a software (SW), advanced sensor, and artificial intelligence (AI) company ▲establishing policies ▲establishing a research institute, etc. FineVT Co., Ltd. agreed to utilize Pocheon City’s infrastructure when promoting technology research at the Korea-UK R&D and Korea-Kazakhstan R&D center and support the attraction of related companies.

At the seminar, representatives from the public, private, military, academia, and research institutes attended and presented on ▲Pocheon City’s mobility industry vision and strategy ▲Seoul National University’s Intelligent Unmanned Vehicle Research Center’s drone policy and industry trends ▲FineVT Co., Ltd.’s global technology development (R&D) cooperation strategy ▲Korea Aerospace Research Institute’s future mobility fostering strategy, etc.

Pocheon City plans to promote the next-generation advanced mobility industry and establish a drone parts domestic production complex by ▲ training and attracting software experts in the northern Gyeonggi region, ▲ attracting research institutes in the region, ▲ fostering companies and creating jobs, ▲ establishing a demonstration test system for the civilian-military manned-unmanned complex system, and ▲ promoting digital twin-based test evaluation.

Mayor Baek Young-hyun said, “With this seminar and agreement, we have laid the foundation to become the center of the advanced mobility industry,” and “We will do our best to establish a drone parts domestic production complex and commercialize future mobility technology in the future.”

Meanwhile, Seoul National University’s Intelligent Unmanned Vehicle Research Center is conducting various public research through cooperation with major domestic and international organizations and companies, such as fostering innovative talents for land, sea, and air unmanned vehicles and developing original technologies.

Director Sejin Oh of FineVT Robotics LAB has made various contributions to the fields of standardization, factual standardization, establishment of airworthiness standards, and scientific research in the private/public/military sectors, and has succeeded in mass production and verification of KCMVP Level 2 based on ㅃ꿓 quantum cryptography in Korea and Antarctica for the first time in the world. In particular, he has contributed greatly to military data communication based on quantum-resistant cryptography (PQC) and military aviation security policies.
